Morris Museum

If you are visiting Morristown soon and are wondering what to do there with your family, you can always charter a New Jersey bus and have the bus driver send you and your family to the Morris Museum at 6 Normandy Heights Road, Morristown and spend a day touring the museum. At Morris Museum, they have many different kinds of exhibits, some which are permanent ones while some are for a certain period of time only. Hence, even if you visit this museum this time with your family, the next time you go again in a New Jersey charter bus, chances are that you will see some “new” exhibits at the museum that you probably didn’t get to see this round.

For kids, the Morris Museum is surely a favorite place to visit during holidays because they offer many hands on and interactive displays and exhibits for the children. Being able to touch, feel and “play” with the exhibits in the museum is definitely a big hit with kids because kids just love to play and it is always a great way for them to learn too, as they play and discover the many wonderful things in the museum. We would not be too wrong if we say that the Morris Museum provides the family a place to play and learn together. There is just so much to see and so much to do in here. Model trains, historical mansion, costume exhibition, a Guinness collection of Automata (which is a collection of automatic devices and objects that make music – something like a giant music box) – these are just some of the things you can expect to see when you arrive at the Morris Museum in the New Jersey bus. In some parts of the museum, they also have exhibits on taxidermied animals, fossils, geology and the gift shop is also a great place for you to stop by to buy some souvenirs home.

They are, however, closed on Mondays, and the major holidays. Otherwise, they are open from Tuesdays right through till Sundays, from 11am to 5pm (Tuesday to Saturday) and from 12 noon to 5pm on Sunday. Also, on the second and third Thursday of every month, the admission is “Pay as You Wish” from 5pm to 8pm. You can always take advantage of the “Pay as You Wish” offer by the museum and plan your trip to the Morris Museum in the New Jersey rented bus on the second or third Thursday of the month.
